Switchfoot - Hope Is The Anthem

1996년부터 활동을 시작한 5인조 alternative rock 스타일 밴드, [Where the Light Shines Through, 2016] 등 10개의 정규 앨범을 발표한 가운데 빌보드 크리스천 앨범 차트는 물론 전체 장르를 대상으로 하는 앨범 차트인 "빌보드 200", 대중음악 락 장르인 "Alternative Albums"와 "Top Rock Albums" 차트의 상위권 순위에 오르고 있습니다.

2011년 그래미상에서 "Best Rock or  Rap Gospel Album" 수상, GMA 도브상에서는 "Artist of the Year" (2005), "Rock Recorded Song of the Year" (2004,, 2012), "Rock/Contemporary Recorded Song of the Year" (2004, 2005, 2010, 2014), "Rock/Contemporary Album of the Year" (2004, 2014) 등 14개 상을 수상했습니다.

현재 멤버는 Jon Foreman (lead vocals, guitar, keyboards, piano ; 1996~) - Tim Foreman (bass, backing vocals, acoustic guitar ; 1996~) - Chad Butler (drums, percussion ; 1996~) - Jerome Fontamillas (keyboards, piano, synthesizers, rhythm guitar, backing vocals ; 2001~) - Drew Shirley (lead guitar, backing vocals ; 2005~)

밴드 이름은 서핑 용어에서 따왔다고 하지요 ~ 서핑하기 위해서 발을 바꾸어야 한다는 "We all love to surf and have been surfing all our lives so to us, the name made sense. To switch your feet means to take a new stance facing the opposite direction. It's about change and movement, a different way of approaching life and music"
