[ 48th GMA Dove Awards ] Songwriter of the Year (Artist)

도브상은요~ 1964년 설립된 GMA(Gospel Music Association) 주관으로 매년 열리는 시상식으로써 지난 1년 간 활동했던 다양한 음악 스타일의 크리스천 음악을 만든 아티스트, 프로듀서, 곡 작업자, 관련 기업들에 대해 1,500명의 CCM 전문가 추천으로 후보를 선발하고 2,500명의 투표인단을 통해 수상자를 결정하고 있습니다. 

Songwriter of the Year 수상자 선정 방식은 몇 차례 변화가 있었는데요, 2015년부터는 직접 곡을 쓰고 노래하는 Artist (Division I / Category 2)와 다른 Artist(들)에 의해 발표된 곡을 만든 이들을 대상으로 하는 Non-Artist (Division I / Category 3) 2개 부문으로 나누어 시상하고 있습니다. 

5명이 후보에 올랐던 Songwriter of the Year (Artist) 수상자는 ... 

Songwriter of the Year로는 2002년에 이어 두 번째 수상이고요, 밴드가 아닌 작곡자/프로듀서 자격으로 일곱 번째 수상입니다. 밴드 MercyMe의 리드보컬이자 작곡자 ~!
