Casting Crowns - Oh My Soul

미국 Florida주 Daytona Beach에서 1999년 워십을 이끄는 밴드로 시작, Georgia주를 중심으로 활동을 본격화하면서 2003년 첫 공식 앨범 [Casting Crowns]를 발표했습니다. 

MercyMe와 함께 미국 크리스천의 정서를 가장 잘 반영한 밴드로 꼽을 만한 이들인데요, 작곡자로서 입지가 탄탄한 Mark Hall (lead vocals, songwriter, 1999~)을 중심으로 Juan DeVevo (guitar, vocals ; 1999~) ; Chris Huffman (bass, vocals, 2001~) ; Megan Garrett (piano, keyboards, vocals, 2001~) ; Melodee DeVevo (violin, cello, vocals, 1999~) ; Brian Scoggin (drums, 2009~) ; Josh Mix (lead guitar, vocals, 2012~) 일곱 명의 멤버로 구성되어 있습니다.

그래미상에서는 4회 후보에 올라 2006년 "Best Pop/Contemporary Gospel Album" [Lifesong] 1회 수상했고, GMA 도브상에서는 39회 후보에 올라 2005년~2009년 5년 연속 "Group of the Year", 2010년 "Artist of the Year" 등 15회 수상했습니다.

라이브, 크리스마스 앨범 성격의 음반을 제외하면 일곱번 째 정규 스튜디오 앨범 [The Very Next Thing] 수록곡으로 들어 보겠습니다.
